The coastline of Ireland is determined by rugged rocks and hilly or mountainous terrain which leads down to the water.
The sure footed sheep are well adapted to this and are adept climbers!
In this piece, I have used merino wool for the hills and silk fibers to create the rocks. The water in the bay is depicted using a combination of wool and organza for a bit of sparkle! All the materials are needle felted onto a wool felt backing using a barbed needle. It comes double mounted, ready to frame and as always is an original design.
