The landcape of Ireland is adorned with ancient historic ruins, abbeys, castles, towers, stone circles to mention a few and in this textile piece I have chosen to represent an old abbey ruin in the distance with ploughed and tilled fields in the foreground. All presenting a picturesque picnic site for the sheep!!
I have used a collection of Irish tweeds, wool and knitting yarns in this piece, all stitched onto a wool backing.
