The wonderful evening skies in mid November are a constant source of inspiration for my textile art.
Ever changing hues of pink, blue and faded yellow combine to make the winter sky a colour palette of it’s own and I have tried to capture it here in this piece using strands of merino wool needle felted together.
The sheep in this scene are composed of actual sheep’s wool saved after shearing. The distant winter trees are strands of silk fibers worked onto the wool backing.
